        　　The door-to-door interviews precede the nationwide population census, which
officially starts on November 1 and is held once every 10 years.
        　　入户摸底调查在全国人口普查之前开展。每十年进行一次的全国人口普查将于11月1日正式开始。
        　　文中的door-to-door interviews就是指“入户摸底调查”，也称为door-to-door household
survey，由census enumerators(人口普查员)负责开展，为即将迎来的sixth nationwide population
census(第六次全国人口普查)做前期准备工作。本次人口普查非常重视对住户的信息保密，因此普查员都事先签订了confidentiality
agreements(保密协议)。
        　　拥有Beijing permanent residency/hukou(北京市常住户口)的住户需向普查员提供household
register(户口登记簿)，户籍在外地人员则需提供temporary residence permit(暂住证)或者local permanent
residence permit(长期居住证)。
