　　SELENE: Can I help you?
        　　TERRY: Yes. I am interested in applying for graduate school here.
        　　SELENE: Alright. Do you have some specific questions?
        　　TERRY: Not really. I am in Madison visiting a friend.
        　　And I would like to go to school here too. So he told me to come to this
office.
        　　SELENE: Have you sent in an application already?
        　　TERRY: No, I haven't.
        　　SELENE: Well, I'm sorry to tell you,
        　　but the deadline for applications has already passed.
        　　TERRY: I'm sorry. What does that mean?
        　　SELENE: That means it is already too late to apply for school this fall
semester.
        　　TERRY: Really?
        　　SELENE: Yes. The Graduate School accepts no applications after January
29th.
        　　And it is already February fifth.
        　　So if you apply, you must apply to begin first semester next year.

previous school.
        　　TERRY: I can't send my transcripts myself?
        　　SELENE: No. Your school must send them to us.
        　　Also, all graduate students must have GRE or GMAT scores sent to us by the
testing center.
        　　TERRY: How much is the application fee for applying to graduate school?
        　　SELENE: The application fee is $40.
        　　TERRY: Alright. Give me one application packet please.
        　　I'll take it back and start to fill it out.
        　　SELENE: Here you are.
        　　TERRY: Thank you.
