2015年4月25日14时11分，尼泊尔(北纬28.2度，东经84.7度)发生8.1级地震，震源深度20千米，余震31次。震中位于博克拉，最大烈度为X度，重烈度区从震中向东延伸。

Nepal is reeling from the devastation brought by a magnitude 8.1 earthquake
that struck onSaturday. Nepal's Interior Minisry has said that the death toll
from the quake has climbed to 1,931 . And more than 4,700 people are
injured.
Nepal's military predicts the death toll may climb to as high as 5,000. The
Chinese embassy in Nepalhas confirmed that four Chinese nationals were killed,
with five severely injured.
The initial magnitude-eight-point-one quake struck 80 kilometers east of
Pokhara on Saturdayafternoon. It was followed by a huge aftershock, measuring
seven-point-zero. As of Sunday, twobig aftershocks have been recorded, with the
latest in the afternoon with a magnitude of 7.1.

This is the most powerful and devastating earthquake to have hit Nepal in
over 80 years. Thetremor was felt by more than 4.6 million people across South
and East Asia.
Search and rescue efforts are underway for survivors buried under the
rubble and flattenedbuildings, but efforts are being hampered by rain and
aftershocks. Nepal national television isreporting that 90 percent of historical
structures in Kathmandu Valley were destroyed in theearthquake.
