          【Clown convention good for a laugh】小丑大会欢乐无限
        　One the funniest group photos you're likely to see. Dozens of clowns brought mirth and color to Mexico City for the 17th Annual International Clown Convention. Their aim is to gain support and respect for their art. Which Mexican clown Sergio Cabas says is a labor of love. SOUNDBITE: Sergio Cabas, clown known as "El Payaso Perolito", saying (Spanish): "Being a clown is a vocation. It's a profession. One needs to be sentimental and have a love for art. Not only for the children, but for the entire family, in a society that today is plagued by a lack of values, by violence." Most, but not all, of the clowns are from Latin America.Robert Oran, U.S. clown, saying (English): "It's very interesting, especially for me being an American, to see everything from a Latin American perspective. More than anything I think it's just the fellowship with the other clowns. For me, that is the best part." According to the Latin American Clown Association there are some 10,000 professional clowns in Mexico -- and they're putting their best foot forward.
