CCTV productions make buzz at Shanghai Television Festival
At the ongoing Shanghai Television Festival, agencies from both home and abroad gathered to seek a good purchase. Among them, CCTV productions have made a lot of buzz. Sensational documentaries like "A Bite of China" have attracted quite a bunch of buyers.
At the CCTV booth, the best sellers are "A Bite of China" and "The Forbidden City 100". These are the most successful TV documentaries and have earned a reputation both in China and beyond. Overseas stations appear as good buyers.
Ma Runsheng, general manager of China International TV Corporation says, "Just five minutes ago, we just had a talk with Times Warner from the US. They are very interested in our productions. Both sides are looking forward to deeper cooperation on Chinese documentaries."
