故事的开始，女主和女主的妈咪就开始对富人家坑蒙拐骗，让女土豪相信她可以召回她故去老公的灵魂，并与之对话。这位空虚寂寞冷的土豪对她深信不疑，并且说她是一位uplifting creature（someone who can make you feel happier or giving you more hope）。并且要给女主设立基金会，专门研究该领域的神奇现象，真是太好骗了…… 下面就是土豪姐和骗子妈咪之间的对话：

A person or thing is more complicated or interesting than you might think at first. 可以翻译成“某人/某物要比看起来复杂的多”。
这里的trouble可以理解成extra effort，对应我们的“费劲儿，麻烦”。例如：
I don't want to put you to a lot of trouble.
She went to a lot of trouble to find the book for me.
Nothing is ever too much trouble for her (= she's always ready to help).
come to nothing/not come to anything
To be unsuccessful or to have no successful result. 例如：
How sad that all his hard work should come to nothing.
Her plans didn't come to anything.
be living proof of something / that…
To show by your actions or qualities that a particular fact is true. 可以形象的解释为“活生生的例子/证据”。例如：
These figures are living proof of the government's incompetence.
He is living proof that not all engineers are boring.
(it's) no/ little/ small wonder (that)…
It is not surprising. 难怪，怪不得… 例如：
No wonder you're tired, you've been walking for hours. Be smitten (with/ by somebody/ something)
Suddenly feeling that you are in love with somebody or something. 例如：
From the moment they met, he was completely smitten by her.
类似的还有be taken with somebody/something，不过这个感情色彩不是很没有刚才的强烈，它表示 to find somebody/ something attractive or interesting. 例如：
We were all very taken with his girlfriend.
I think he's quite taken with the idea.
