同胞们，朋友们：
Fellow Compatriots, Dear Friends,
大家好!今天，我们怀着喜悦的心情，在这里隆重集会，庆祝澳门回归祖国15周年，举行澳门特别行政区第四届政府就职典礼。
Good morning. Today, we gather here in a joyous mood for this grand
occasion to celebrate the15th anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland
and to inaugurate the fourth-termgovernment of the Macao Special Administrative
Region (SAR).
首先，我谨代表中央政府和全国各族人民，向全体澳门居民，致以诚挚的问候!向新就任的澳门特别行政区第四任行政长官崔世安先生，向第四届政府主要官员、行政会委员，表示热烈的祝贺!向所有关心澳门、为澳门繁荣稳定作出贡献的海内外同胞和国际友人，表示衷心的感谢!
First of all, on behalf of the Central Government and people of all ethnic
groups across the country,I wish to extend cordial greetings to all the
residents in Macao and warm congratulations to Mr.Chui Sai On, the fourth Chief
Executive of the Macao SAR, his team and members of the ExecutiveCouncil who
have just been sworn in. I also wish to express my sincere appreciation to all
the fellowChinese both at home and abroad as well as foreign friends who have
cared about Macao andcontributed to its prosperity and stability.
此时此刻，让我们共同回忆15年前的今天。那一天，中国政府恢复对澳门行使主权，中华人民共和国澳门特别行政区成立。从此，澳门回到祖国怀抱，走上了同祖国内地优势互补、共同发展的宽广道路。这是中华民族发展进程中具有重大历史意义的事件，开辟了澳门发展新纪元。
This occasion reminds us of what happened 15 years ago today. On that day,
the Chinesegovernment resumed the exercise of sovereignty over Macao, and the
Macao SAR of the People’sRepublic of China was established. Macao returned to
the embrace of the motherland andembarked on a promising path of mutual
complementarity and common development with themainland. That was an event of
great historic significance in the development of the Chinese nationand marked a
new chapter in Macao’s development.
15年来，在中央政府和内地大力支持下，在特别行政区行政长官和政府带领下，澳门社会各界人士齐心协力、团结奋斗，积极推进“一国两制”实践，取得了丰硕成果。
Over the past 15 years, with the strong support of the Central Government
and the mainland andunder the leadership of the Chief Executive and government
of the SAR, people from varioussectors in Macao have united as one, made
vigorous efforts to implement the principle of “onecountry, two systems” and
achieved fruitful results.
——我们高兴地看到，“一国两制”、“澳人治澳”、高度自治方针和澳门特别行政区基本法在澳门社会广泛深入人心、得到切实贯彻落实，宪法和基本法规定的澳门特别行政区的宪制秩序得到尊重和维护，中央全面管治权有效行使，特别行政区享有的高度自治权受到充分保障。广大澳门同胞当家作主、依法享有广泛自由和民主权利，澳门民主政制有序发展，经济快速增长，居民生活持续改善，社会大局和谐稳定，各项事业全面进步，对外交往不断扩大。
– We are glad to see that the principles of “one country, two systems”,
“Macao peopleadministering Macao”, and a high degree of autonomy as well as the
Basic Law of the Macao SARhave won massive support from the people in Macao and
have been implemented in real earnest.The constitutional order of the Macao SAR
as prescribed by the Constitution and the Basic Law isrespected and upheld. The
Central Government’s overall governing power is effectively exercisedwhile the
high degree autonomy enjoyed by the SAR is fully guaranteed. Our compatriots in
Macaoare masters of their own house entitled to broad freedoms and democratic
rights in accordancewith law. Macao enjoys orderly progress in democracy, fast
economic growth, rising livingstandards, and social harmony and stability.
All-round progress has been made in its variousundertakings, and its exchanges
with the outside have continued to expand.
——我们高兴地看到，澳门同祖国内地的交流合作日益密切，继续为祖国改革开放和现代化建设作出独特贡献，分享祖国发展带来的机遇和成果。澳门同胞对国家的认同感和向心力不断加强，血浓于水的民族感情不断升华，爱国爱澳成为社会主流价值观。
– We are glad to see that Macao is having increasingly closer exchanges and
cooperation with themainland and continuing to make its unique contribution to
the reform, opening-up andmodernization drive of the motherland while sharing
the opportunities and benefits brought bydevelopment of the motherland. Macao
compatriots have gained a growing sense of identity andbelonging with the
motherland. The close national bond of “blood being thicker than water”
isbecoming ever stronger. Love for the motherland and love for Macao has become
a prevalentvalue in Macao society.
——我们高兴地看到，澳门作为中西文化荟萃的历史文化名城，传承岭南色彩的中华文化，融汇欧陆风情，蕴含独特魅力。生活在澳门的不同族群和谐相处，相互学习，守望相助，展示了澳门活力四射的形象。
– We are glad to see that as a historical city where Chinese and Western
cultures meet, Macaodisplays a unique charm that belongs to a culture typical of
Southern China, yet with a distinctiveEuropean touch. Here, communities from
various ethnic backgrounds live in harmony and helpand learn from each other.
Together, they present to the world a dynamic Macao beaming withvitality.
澳门回归祖国15年取得的成就，值得澳门同胞和全国各族人民自豪和骄傲;探索积累的宝贵经验，值得澳门同胞和全国各族人民珍惜和铭记。
Since its return to the motherland 15 years ago, Macao has scored
remarkable achievements thatmake not only Macao compatriots but also people all
ethnic groups in China proud. The valuableexperience gained by Macao along the
way should be cherished and remembered by Macaocompatriots and people of all
ethnic groups in the entire nation.
