Google AI的“猜画小歌”刷爆朋友圈 Google到底啥意思？
近日，大家的朋友圈被一款游戏小程序刷屏了——来自Google AI的“猜画小歌”，不知道会不会再现当初Alpha Go的盛景。不得不说，谷歌在人工智能领域研究很深，以搜索为人熟知的它名字也大有来头。
其实这个搜索引擎最初不叫Google，1996年1月，加州斯坦福大学理学博士生的拉里·佩奇和谢尔盖·布林在学校开始研究一项关于搜索的研究项目，将引擎命名为“BackRub”。

后来改成Google是取材于一个数学概念googol，googol译作古戈尔、估勾儿、古高尔，是一个比已知宇宙里所有原子总和还大的数，象征着为人们提供搜索海量优质信息的决心。
googol是在1938年美国数学家爱德华·卡斯纳(Edward Kasner)九岁的侄子米尔顿·西罗蒂(Milton
Sirotta)所创造出来的。卡斯纳在他的《数学与想象》(Mathematics and the Imagination)一书中写下了这一概念。
据说是注册时将googol误写成google，才有了如今的谷歌，这么一看，与优衣库的名字起源倒是异曲同工。
