1. hitthebottomofit
海伦和杰克两个人在一起讨论案情进展，杰克说到有太多的证据证明barr是有罪的了，太多的证据反而不能相信，所以说barr是无辜的，而海伦却认为杰克其实早已经知道这个案子的情况了，他是故意接手这个案子，于是生气对他大声说道你故意把案件搅混。这个短语在这的意思把案件搅混，故意制造混乱。
2. cutout
海伦误解了杰克，并失去理智，一直认为杰克不怀好意，故意接手这个案件，她认为杰克一直过的就是流浪者的生活，他一直与外面的真正世界没有联系，说不定他还会有Barr那样的结局。Cutout有切断，切开的意思，与外面世界切断就是与世隔绝的意思。
3. Letoutofme
杰克让海伦冷静下来，抓着她的胳膊准备向她解释他接手案件，插手此事的真正原因，而海伦却不理解他，让他放开自己，这个句子很口语化，在日常生活中常用，意思是放开我，放手。
