中国人收养弃婴孤儿增多
Adoptions on the riseLocal adoptions in China are on the rise thanks to economic progress and evolving social attitudes.
While there are no official nationwide data on domestic adoptions, Ji Gang, a director at the central government's Center of Adoption Affairs, noted that adoptions have been "clearly growing" since about 2003 in affluent cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. In provinces where the economy has grown quickly, said Mr. Ji, "domestic adoption has also grown quickly."
There are no limits in China on the number of orphans a person can adopt, provided the prospective parent can support them financially and meets certain age, health and education requirements.
The shift toward adoption is partly due to developments of another kind: couples are marrying later and may not be able to conceive. Some women aren't marrying at all. Another category of adoptive parents are older couples whose only child has died. "Adoption demand created under circumstances is actually quite large," said Zeng Fanlin, a psychologist and associate professor of special education at East China Normal University in Shanghai.
Foster parenting is also taking off, said Mr. Zeng, as a result of budding prosperity in bigger Chinese cities and a growing sense of social responsibility.
"Some mothers in their 40s and 50s don't have to work and have free time, an important precondition," said Mr. Zeng. He added that these financially stable women feel a social obligation. "People feel they can help solve a small part of the problems in society," he noted.

由于经济的发展和人们的态度转变，中国收养孩子的情况正逐渐增多。
目前中国还没有关于国内收养孩子数量的官方数据。但是据中央政府下设的中国收养中心主任冀刚说，大约2003年后，收养孩子的情况在北京、上海和广州等富裕城市“明显上升”。冀刚说，在经济发展较快的省份，“收养孩子的数最增长得很快”。
中国对个人收养的孤儿数量没有限制，条件是收养人能够给孩子提供经济上的支持，而且自身要满足年龄、健康和教育水平方面的条件。
中国在收养问题上出现的转变也与社会上一种情况有关：人们结婚的年龄越来越晚，可能导致无法生育，而且有些女性根本就不结婚。另外还有一个因素：上了年纪的夫妻失去了惟一的孩子，因而想领养孩子。上海华东师范大学心理学家，特殊教育系副教授曾凡林说：“在这种情形下出现的收养需求非常庞大。”
曾教授说，收养孩子的情况之所以急剧增加，也是因为中国一些比较大的城市经济逐步呈现繁荣局面，而且人们的社会责任感也在增加。
他还说：“有些母亲年龄在四五十岁，不需要工作，因此有很多时间。这是一个重要的前提条件。”他说：“这些收入稳定的妇女也想回馈社会。人们感觉自己有能力帮着解决社会的小部分问题。”
