经典诗歌:托马斯.纳什的Spring 春
在伊丽莎白时代 ,英国文艺复兴进入了繁盛阶段 ,诗歌的创作发展也达到了高峰。众多的诗歌精品绚丽多姿 ,异彩纷呈 ,尤如璀灿的明星 ,托马斯·纳什的《春》便是其中的一颗明星。他是当时剑桥的“大学才子”之一 ,是诗人和剧作家。在本首诗中，诗人运用了丰富多彩的意象，糅合了动态和静景，还运用了腹韵和五步抑扬格的韵律。

Spring, the sweet Spring, is the year's pleasant king;
Then blooms each thing, then maids dance in a ring,
Cold doth not sting, the pretty birds do sing,
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!
春，甘美之春，一年之中的尧舜，
处处都有花树，都有女儿环舞，
微寒但觉清和，佳禽争着唱歌，
啁啁，啾啾，哥哥，割麦、插一禾!
The palm and may make country houses gay,
Lambs frisk and play, the shepherds pipe all day,
And we hear aye birds tune this merry lay,
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!
榆柳呀山楂，打扮着田舍人家，
羊羔嬉游，牧笛儿整日在吹奏，
百鸟总在和鸣，一片悠扬声韵，
啁啁，啾啾，哥哥，割麦、插一禾!
The fields breathe sweet, the daisies kiss our feet,

本诗的韵式是 aaab,cccb,dddb;每节中除末行外，其他三行都用腹韵，即第二音步的第二个词同第五音步末尾的词协韵。
