阿隆·科普兰（AaronCopland，1900—），美国作曲家。祖籍俄国，是第一位被认为有本土风味的美国作曲家。30年代多次访问墨西哥，1936年根据墨西哥流行曲调创作管弦乐幻想曲《墨西哥沙龙》，十分成功。用这一风格写作的其他作品尚有芭蕾舞剧《小伙子比利》、《牧区竞技》和《阿帕拉契亚之春》。晚年少创作，转而从事指挥。Hints:

His parents had come to the United States from eastern Europe. They owned a store in Brooklyn. Aaron began playing the piano when he was a young child. He wrote his first song for his mother when he was eight years old. His dreams of becoming a composer began when he was young. When he was 16, he urged his parents to let him study composing with Rubin Goldmark.
