The past decades have witness the speedy advancement of education in China. However, currently, it can be seen that the selling and purchasing fake diplomas is more frequently heard and seen than ever before. This phenomenon can be best illustrated by the fact that some famous figures or celebrities are found with fake diplomas and exposed in the Internet by Fang Zhouzi.
Apparently enough, there are some negative impacts which we should not ignore. To begin with, fake diplomas may impair or undermine the social morality as a whole. Then, the diploma buyers set bad examples to others, leading them to be dishonest and take the shortcut. To conclude, it is undeniable that the bad influences can never be turned a blind eye to.
In view of the seriousness of this situation, it is high time that we took effective measures to eliminate them. First, related regulations should be worked out to ban and punish those who trade fake diplomas. Then, we should educate, advocate and encourage our friends, classmates and acquaintances to reject anything fake. Only in this way can we create an honest academic atmosphere. |
