Buses are the main means of transportation for most Chinese people. In
recent years, due to the increasing number of private cars, the traffic problems
in cities have become more and more serious. Lots of cities have always tried to
improve the quality of bus service in order to encourage more people to go out
by bus. The facilities of the vehicles have been constantly updated, and the
speed of the vehicles has also increased significantly. However, the ticket
prices of buses are still quite low. Nowadays, in most cities, many local
elderly citizens can take buses for free.
In the past, going out by plane was hard to imagine (unthinkable/

including lots of farmers and migrant workers, are able to go out by air. They
can fly to all the big cities, and lots of cities are also building airports.

recent years, the number of people choosing to travel by air has increased
constantly during holidays.

Developing subways will help reduce traffic jams and air pollution. Subways have
the advantages of safety, speed and comfort. More and more people have chosen
the subway as the main means of transportation to work or school every day.
Nowadays, taking the subway in China is becoming more and more convenient.
In some cities, passengers can take the subway only by using cards or
mobile phones. Lots of elderly citizens can also take the subway for free.
