The number of high net-worth individuals (HNWIs) in China has been on a
sharp rise in recent years, according to the 2017 China Private Wealth Report
released by Bain Consulting and China Merchants Bank.
据贝恩咨询和中国招商银行发布的《2017中国个人财富报告》显示，近年来中国高净值人士的数量急剧增加。
The new analysis says there are approximately 1.58 million Chinese
millionaires who are currently holding around 165 trillion yuan (around 24.17
trillion dollars) in combined wealth as of the end of 2016. This is 9-times the
amount of millionaires and money they possessed a decade ago.
据这项最新分析显示，截止2016年底，中国约有158万名百万富翁，持有财富总额约为165万亿人民币(约合24.17万亿美元)。和10年前相比，无论是百万富翁人数还是财富的数额都增长了9倍。
Among them, the total number of high net-worth individuals who are in
possession of over 100 million yuan worth of investable assets has increased
11-fold over the past ten years.
其中，财富额超过1亿人民币可投资资产的高净值人士数量在过去10年里增长了11倍。
Based on annual growth rates, the report predicts China’s private wealth
market will show steady growth through 2017, with total assets among Chinese
millionaires hitting 188 trillion yuan.
基于年增长率，该报告预测中国的个人财富市场将在2017年稳步增长，中国百万富翁所持总资产将达到188万亿人民币。
It also predicts the number of high net-worth individuals to climb to 1.87
million.
