Hodge was occupied by all these thoughts, not to mention he was also thinking about the items on his agenda. On top of that, as he was behind the wheels, he had to watch out for traffic as well. It was not surprising that Hodge did not notice a particular figure amidst the crowd lined up outside the pizza shop. That particular figure was paying close attention to Hodge's car as it pulled out of the back alley. Pushing his cap down slightly, the figure made note of the time.
