        "There you are," he said to himself when he picked up his pen. When he was about to get up, something caught his eye. In a discrete corner, on the underside edge of a waist-high buffet, he saw a bug. Of course it was not an insect type of bug; it was an audio surveillance type of bug. The coin-sized black bug was stealthy tugged into the shadows. Had the interior designer not scoped that low, the equipment would be difficult to detect. For a short moment, he stared at the bug.
