Radio will no longer be able to hold its presence as television and
Internet will replace it very soon. Do you agree or disagree?
It may be said that music radio will live as long as music itself. The
increasing radio listenership perhaps means that listening to radio makes people
happier than watching television or surfing Internet. People do not listen to
radio to be depressed, certainly not when it comes to turning on a favorite
music station, and the whole idea of listening to radio is to gain emotional
companionship and audio enjoyment.
Radio provides a consistent environment themed and shaped to suit people's
emotional needs almost at any given moment. It can be seen that Internet is
obviously ruining printed circulations like newspapers and magazines, but radio
along with television as media outlets will survive. In fact, the popularity of
radio is not affected by either television or Internet, according to a recent
study about the average people's media consumption and emotional responses. One
reason for this is probably that radio as emotional companionship does not
require attentive eyes being fixed on the screen. Whereas trolling online might
become an uncomfortable activity, and whereas watching television might be
considered as the ultimate in escapism, only radio can help put people more at
ease with the environment, indoors or outdoors. Like mobile phones, radio
supports people's daily activities, and every hand phone of course has its own
radio.
People like to listen to radio for music along with local news. Like
selecting food, people can choose the station that best pleases them--the flavor
that they enjoy most. There is no doubt that radio can help them feel better as
they go about their days. Most people who enjoy listening to radio do not even
realize how important it is in their lives. Radio can actually improve people's
daily activities, like cleaning up around the house, or cooking, or getting
ready in the morning, driving, or bathing, or at the end of a trying day,
soothing late sleepers into dreams. Although people probably do not listen to
radio and watch television at the same time, they do often enjoy music from
radio when they are doing work on Internet.
In listening to radio, people are emotionally entertained in a way unlike
watching television or using Internet. More often than not, people feel happier
when growing more attached to the stations they frequent, and remain royal for
the rest of their lives. Despite the overwhelming influence from Internet and
television, radio will continue to be up and running in people's daily
lives. |
