        　　年幼时，我们胡思乱想，认为我们经常受到被称为“细菌”的隐形杀手的侵袭。因此，我们必须长期保持警惕，要在它们动怒时，保护好我们自己。但是我们忽略了一个重要的事实，那就是我们的身体有很好的抵抗力，足以对付小小的恶魔。抵御它们侵袭的良策是保持一种明智的生活方式。

        　　Early in life, too, we become seized with the bizarre idea that we are
constantly assaulted by invisible monsters called germs, and that we have to be
on constant alert to protect ourselves against their fury, but equal emphasis is
not given to the presiding fact that our bodies are superbly equipped to deal
with the little demons and the best way of forestalling an attack is to maintain
a sensible lifestyle.
