In Chelsea's group, FC Porto won 2-0 at home to Maccabi Tel Aviv. Vincent Paté Aboubakar of Cameroon and Yacine Brahimi of Algeria scored the goals there. But the most exciting match took place in Group E, finished Bayer Leverkusen 4, Roma 4. Our football reporter John Bennet has more on that and the rest of Tuesday night's Champions League action.
It was a crazy game, two two-goal comebacks in one match. Bayer Leverkusen were 2-0 up in 19 minutes. Javier Hernández with both goals, but then Roma raced a way to a 4-2 lead, Daniele De Rossi, the club legend with two goals. It looked all over, but somehow the Germans rallied. Kevin Kampl scored with six minutes to go. Two minutes later, Admir Mehmedi made it 4-4 with a tap-in. The Romans won't believe that they did not win this game. It's the first time they've conceded more than two goals in a match since March. |
