　　由报道可知，“便衣保安”可用“undercover security guard”来形容。“Security guard”指的是“保安”，“undercover ”在此表示“便衣的，秘密从事的”，如：undercover investigation(秘密调查);undercover FBI agent(联邦调查局密探);undercover policeman(便衣警察)。
　　此外，undercover常和动词go搭配组成动词词组，表示“秘密从事”，如近期有关麦当劳等洋快餐店违规用工一“案”就是靠“one of the reporters who went undercover to work part time in McDonald's”(媒体“卧底”/记者暗访形式)得来的。
