Shelf
A shelf is a thin slab of secured horizontally to the wall or a frame for the purpose of supporting other objects. What does the shelf look like? What is it made of? What items are placed on the shelf?

范例1：
Even the the light turned off, the room was becoming well-lit from the sunlight through the big glass window. There, Doug saw the shimmer of light again. When he saw this shimmer a moment ago, he was busy at the computer, and only saw it out of the corner of his eye. He thought it was the refraction of sunlight from the window. He could see what it was now. It was indeed refraction of sunlight, but the shimmer was not due to the window. It was refracted through something sitting on a shelf near the window.
