Behind refers to what is in the rear, what may not be apparent. What events or objects are hidden behind the scene? Why are these things hidden?

范例1：
Wolfe was surprised, to say the least. He tried to maintain eye contact via the mirror as he walked into the elevator. The other person behind him simply smiled. Whether the smile was friendly or smug, Wolfe could not tell. It was the other person who first broke eye contact, turning around to face the elevator door without saying a word, leaving Wolfe to face the mirror by himself in the corner of the elevator. So Wolfe also turned around to face the elevator door and stood behind that person.
