Hover
To hover means to float in the air or linger around. Who or what is hovering? Why? Where does the hovering take place?

2) an amphibian hovercraft about to take-off
3) children hovering around their parents, wanting to get the toys they want

Sean felt full; he tried every single thing on the tables and then more. He especially enjoyed his time with the chocolate fountain. He hovered around to check and see if he missed anything. Suddenly, he felt a light tap on his shoulder. “When did you get here?” Sean turned around as he heard the person asked. The masked stranger grinned. Naturally, Sean thought the person was being friendly, and failed to realize the fact that instead of a latte mustache, his lips were stained with dark chocolate from the strawberry fondue.
