Katy Perry probably could've kept her 3D concert film "Part of Me" strictly business -- singing, dancing, and signing autographs for adoring fans. Instead, Perry agreed to include some of the more painful moments of the months preceding her split from husband Russell Brand.
In the film, we see Perry poring over her schedule, asking, "Where are my relationship days?" when she realizes that she's been booked to be away from Brand for 18 days in a row. There's another scene where a member of her team worries that she's running herself ragged by flying out to see Brand during any available free time.
''I think if you were to see the movie and it was completely avoided, you'd think, 'Hmm that's strange, I know something else happened in her life last year,'" she told Jay Leno when he asked about her decision. "So I wanted to handle it delicately with the most integrity I could and show, 'Yeah I'm going through the same situation that half of America goes through and somehow I landed on my feet, so you don't have to lay down and die like you think.'"
That's not to say she totally loves re-watching the painful moments on the big screen. "It wasn't always exciting to watch those unflattering scenes where I'm crying and having an intense moment but I think people will relate to me more seeing me at my lowest point and now at my highest point."

我们看到凯蒂在电影里盯着她的日程表，发现自己要与爱人布兰德分别18天之久后，问到，“我的恋爱日程在哪儿？”。在另一个场景中，凯蒂的一位同事正在担心因为她把所有的休息时间都花在了坐飞机去看布兰德上而让自己精疲力尽。
“我觉得如果你在看这部电影时发现电影完全没提到我离婚的事，你就会想说，‘这可真奇怪，我明明记得她去年经历了这件人生大事，’”当杰·雷诺（Jay Leno）问到这个问题时，凯蒂如是说，“所以我想诚实地面对这个问题，然后希望能让观众们体会到‘对，我现在碰到了一个50%的美国人都会碰到的难题，但我已经慢慢走出了离婚这个困境，那么你也不必那么绝望。’”
然而这并不意味着凯蒂想在大银幕上重温这些令她心碎的经历。“其实不是所有的观众都喜欢看像我哭了或者我的心情很悲伤这种写实的内容，但我相信等大家看过低潮时期与全盛时期的我之后，会更了解真实的我。” |
