        The star of "CSI: NY" was injured in a car accident Friday and has been canceling his public appearances, reports the Associated Press.
        Gary Sinise was scheduled to perform with his band at a weekend fundraising event in Virginia and next week in Palm Desert, Calif., but has rescheduled the Virginia performance by the Lt. Dan Band and canceled the Palm Desert concert, the story says.
        The extent of his injuries was not reported, the story notes.
        "CSI: NY" has finished its production for the current season and the show won't be affected by Sinise’s injuries, the piece adds.
