        这首歌的原唱是Maggie Reilly ，如今包括原版已经多达13个版本。Dana Winner翻唱的moonlight shadow是比较有代表性的。这个版本充满欧陆民谣风，节奏由慢而快，开始的时候是很柔和舒服，当渐渐步入高潮时，节奏就开始轻快，轻快的节奏会让人随着节奏而翩翩起舞。dana winner的声线很适合moonlight shadow，因为很甜美柔和，很适合这首歌要代表的寓境。
        这首歌最初是英国的Mike Oldfield创作的，很多网上的资料都说这首歌是纪念被枪杀的John Lennon。但看了原版的MTV之后，我却觉得这首歌应该和John Lennon的被刺并没有直接联系，似乎男主角死于一场决斗中，这倒象是普希金，但不知道普希金的妻子娜达丽亚会不会这样来怀念他。查了一下资料，曾经有国外的歌迷透露，Oldfield说起这首歌的灵感来源于Tony Curtis主演的电影Houdini。霍迪尼传(Houdini)是美国派拉蒙公司于1953年7月2日上映的电影，故事梗概如下：在举世闻名的幻觉大师哈利胡迪尼逝世十年后，他的遗孀贝丝找上一位灵媒,来为她召唤亡夫的鬼魂，之后便以倒叙手法回顾胡迪尼传奇的一生。但我觉得创作这首歌的才华出众但却忧郁无比的Mike Oldfield未必有所特指，或许没必要多去考证了，只需要静静溶入歌中空灵纯净的月光中即可。
