        Terminator 5 is moving from the rumor bin to reality as Skydance Productions, Annapurna Pictures and Paramount Pictures have announced a June 26, 2015 release for the fifth film in the franchise described as the first film in a new "standalone trilogy" with Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) attached to write the screenplay.传闻《终结者5》要回归大荧幕的消息终于成真了！天舞影业、安纳布尔纳影业和派拉蒙已经正式宣布将开始制作《终结者5》，并会于2015年上映，这部续集将是一部全新的、独立的终结者三部曲的第一部。由莱塔·卡罗格里迪斯（《阿凡达》监制，《禁闭岛》编剧）和帕特里克·露西尔（《狂暴飞车》编剧）撰写剧本。

        Schwarzenegger confirmed his participation earlier this month saying, "I'm very happy that the studios want me to be in Terminator 5 and to star as the Terminator, which we start shooting in January."施瓦辛格这个月早些时候也确认了这一消息：“我很开心制作组还想让我在《终结者5》中继续出演终结者一角，我们将在1月份开机。”
