Joey: Wait, wait, wait. You want him, I want her. He likes you.

Joey:Yeah. I'm thinking, if we put our heads together, between the two of us, we can break them up.
【口语讲解】
1.It's like...cocktails in Appalachia ：太离谱了！Appalachia是美国东部的山区，比较保守，在那里出现鸡尾酒就像可就像乱伦一样了，monica只是有点夸张的比喻那“兄妹”的行为。
2.I'm not proud of this：我也不喜欢这样。
3.I'm outta here：我要走了。
outta= out of
例：outta control= out of control
comin = coming
wanna= want to
be gonna = be going to，口语常见用法。注意前面要be，后面跟动词原形。
例一：Are you gonna be there if I was down? 我失意的时候你会在吗？
例二：I'm gonna run away and never say goodbye. 我要逃掉，不辞而别。
例三：I am gonna be there at 3:00. 我三点时会到那。
（这句话也可以说成。"I am going to be there at 3:00." 或是"I will be there at 3:00." 也是蛮常用的。此外，老美也喜欢说，"I will catch you there." 例如二个人约好要在体育馆见面，你就可以说，"I'll catch you in the gym.")
gotta=got to （相当于have to 不得不、必须）
例一：There's something I gotta tell ya. 我有点事要和你说。
例二：I've gotta get outta here .我得离开这儿了。
例三：I've gotta catch the bus. 我要去赶公共汽车了。
4.put our heads together：齐心协力
例句一：We put our heads together and formed a plan.
我们在一起商量了一下，订出了一个计划。
例句二：If we put our heads together we can probably thresh out a workable scheme.
如果我们集思广益，也许能琢磨出一个切实可行的方案。 |
