        A: That man is so ruthless. I hear he fired half of his staff on the last Friday before Christmas.
        B: I also hear he took all the money the company saved and bought a house in California.

        ruthless: 无同情心的；冷酷的；残忍的。
        staff: 全体员工。这是个集合名词，不用复数。
        sharp: （话语或脾气）尖酸的，尖锐的。
        cutting: 伤人感情的；尖刻的，挖苦的。
        hurtful: 伤人的。
