        A: Go soft on Geraldine. I know she cut school, but she’s got it tough at home.
        B: So that’s all the more reason she should be in school, so I should maybe push just a little more. Sometimes tough is kind.
        A: 别对Geraldine那么凶。她是逃了学，但是在家你已经罚过她了。
        B: 那她就更应该呆在学校里，看来我应该更加严厉点。有的时候严厉是仁慈。
        【语言点精讲】
        go soft: 心软。使决心或决定动摇。
        cut school: 逃学。旷课是cut a class.
        get it tough: 受罚；受训。
        push: 逼某人。
        kind: 指这个表达来源于德语的kinder（孩子）。形容人体谅他人，善良，从不有意伤害别人。
