Calls to do something about it are growing.
"So not only is it a crime, not only is it shameful and disgraceful, but it also is going to make, and has made, our military less effective than it can be. And as such, it is dangerous to our national securities."越来越多的女兵在服现役。随着女兵人数的增长，性侵事件的报道也越来越多。
呼吁对此现象采取措施的声音也高涨起来。
“这已经不仅是犯罪，不仅丢人，更即将，并且已经削弱了我们军队原有的作战效率。因此，性侵现象已经威胁到了我国国家安全。”
