        一、课文阅读练习
        I immediately regretted answering in the way I did, but I said,'I enjoy cleaning windows at night.' 'So do I,'answered the policeman in the same tone. 'Excuse my interrupting you. I hate to interrupt a man when he's busy working, but would you mind coming with me to the station?' 'Well, I'd prefer to stay here,' I said. 'You see, I've forgotten my key.' 'Your what ?' he called. 'My key,' I shouted.' Fortunately, the shouting woke up my wife who opened the window just as the policeman had started to climb towards me.
         
        二、单词和习惯用语
        1. Regret
        - Regret to do
        - Regret doing sth
        两者的区别：很遗憾；很后悔
        -造句结构
        Sb regret doing sth
        Regret to tell you, …
        例句：I regretted telling you that I love you since I knew you would marry that girl who you really loved.我后悔告诉你我爱你，因为我知道你将和那个你真正爱着的女孩结婚。
        2. 强调句研究：
        'I'm trying to repair the bell,'answered Bill.'I've been coming up here night after night for weeks now. You see, I was hoping to give you a surprise.'
        'You certainly did give me a surprise!'这句怎么翻译？
        正解：你小子的确吓了我一跳啊！
        - 强调句——肯定句中常用do,did,does加强语气
         sb do/did/does+动词原形
        3.练习：
        - 英翻中
        英：Regret to tell you, your little doggie was knocked over by my car.
        中：很遗憾的告诉你，我的车把你的小狗狗给撞了。
        - 中翻英
        中：很遗憾的告诉你， 我的狗爱上了你的猫。
        英：Regret to tell you, my dog falls in love with your cat.
        中：很遗憾的告诉你，虽然它们不同，我的狗还是爱上了你的猫。
        英：Regret to tell you, my dog falls in love with your cat despite their differences.
        中：今儿你看起来挺靓嘛！
        英：You look good today.
        中：你今儿看起来真滴很靓啊！
        英：You do look good today!
        中：务必小心!
        英：Do be careful!
        中：你肿么木有告诉他啊？
        英：Why didn't you tell him?
        中：我确实告诉他了啊！
        英：I did tell him.
