花两元钱买了张彩票，结果就中了头奖，这个时候你会是什么反应呢？是不是开心得要晕过去了？感叹自己人品太好竟能如此走运？今天咱们就来介绍两个老外常用来形容自己高兴和幸运的短语。
1. feel like a million dollars = feel wonderful 感觉好极了
现在体育彩票、福利彩票、六合彩、各种各样的乐透活动满天飞，假如有一天你得了百万大奖，岂不是要乐翻天？你知道吗，外国人在特别高兴的时候就喜欢说I feel like a million dollars（我感觉像中了百万美元大奖似的），这高兴劲儿估计是一般人所体会不到的。
例如：
A: I bumped into Nick at the barbershop yesterday. He looked great, but I noticed that he had a slight limp when he walked.
我昨天在理发店遇到尼克，他看上去气色不错，不过他走路的时候有点瘸。
B: I guess you didn't know that he had an operation on his knee.
你大概不知道吧，他膝盖做手术了。
A: No, I didn't. How's he feeling?
我不知道。他感觉怎么样？
B: He says he's feeling like a million dollars now. Apparently the pain in his knee is all gone.
他说他感觉好极了。看来他膝盖疼的毛病都给除掉了。
2. sitting pretty = in a fortunate position 处于幸运的境地
Pretty 有“美丽、机灵”的意思，sitting pretty作为一个习惯用语，它的意思并不是具体地说一个人坐在那里很漂亮，而是指一个人处于优势的地位，各个方面的条件都对他有利。
例如：
A: I heard that Michael and Jennifer got a good price when they sold their house.
我听说迈克和詹妮弗的房子卖了个好价钱。
B: Yes, they did. Now they're really sitting pretty. As a matter of fact, they're thinking of going on a long vacation.
是啊。他们运气真的很好。事实上，他们正打算休个长假呢。
