But first, North Korea has confirmed that one of its most powerful politicians has been dismissed. The state news agency said that Jang Song-thaek was removed from his post for committing what it called criminal acts. I ask Lucy Williamson, our correspondent in Seoul, for more details of these criminal acts.
Well, there's a whole long list of things that North Korea state media say Jang Song-thaek has been accused of. Most seriously, it says he tried to build his own faction within the ruling Workers' Party, working against Kim Jong-un, challenging the leadership, challenging unity and cohesion which is very much prized inside North Korea. And though that seems to be really quite a serious challenge to Kim Jong-un's authority, this man is his uncle, as you say, he was seen as his mentor, really the power behind the throne according to some. So the fact that he's been expelled like this and been accused of such serious crimes really is quite striking.
How powerful was he?
Well, that's the $64,000 question. It's very difficult to see inside North Korea's political workings, but he's certainly seen to have a very senior role. He was, he held senior positions in both the party and the military. He was one of few people who walked alongside Kim Jong-un during his father's funeral. He was certainly very high-profile appearing in lots of public events alongside Kim Jong-un.
