《夜巡》是17世纪荷兰画家伦勃朗的名画。现藏于荷兰阿姆斯特丹美术馆。此画所描绘的其实是白天队长与副队长的景象，因光线昏暗而被误为是描绘夜间，画中人物确有其人，有些人认为此画暗藏某些故事另有深意。

The weapon that characterised the Kloveniers militia guild was the Klover, a type of musket and Rembrandt has depicted two of the guardsmen in classic drill positions. One fills his musket with powder, and another blows his gun clean. X-rays show that this was another area of the painting where Rembrandt worked and re-worked.
Here I am standing with these two men in one space on the same floor. I'm very close to Mr Ruytenburg and I see a rather sturdy short man with broad shoulders. In the painting itself you will see that part of that shoulder has been painted away by Rembrandt and I'm sure that had to do with the fact that there is this wonderful piece of mechanic which had to be also worked out in the painting. It shouldn't be covered by that shoulder although Ruytenburg is one of the main figures, maybe this soldier cleaning his gun is even a more important figure because he represents what the militia men were trained for. So poor Ruytenburg has to sacrifice part of his shoulder to enable Rembrandt to paint that part of the musket.民兵队的特色武器是毛瑟枪，林布阑画中有两名民兵，摆出典型的演习姿态。其中一名在装填毛瑟枪的火药，另一名则吹气清枪，X光显示这又是林布阑再三修改的细节之一。
