《夜巡》是17世纪荷兰画家伦勃朗的名画。现藏于荷兰阿姆斯特丹美术馆。此画所描绘的其实是白天队长与副队长的景象，因光线昏暗而被误为是描绘夜间，画中人物确有其人，有些人认为此画暗藏某些故事另有深意。

He's ordering them to go marching and that's the exact moment that the sergeant is turning his head, that the standard bearer is raising his flag. The drummer starts drumming and as a result of this, the dog starts barking. A boy on the left starts running. So everybody is starting to do something. You have the feeling that you just came at the right moment to admire that perfect composition, one moment later and the whole composition would have gone.
Basically there are two aspects to the movement and the action. One is the movement of the whole composition. There is a central group that comes out. There is a group in back that follows the central group. There are persons at the left, that are acting, and on the right there is action and that's composed in a whole lively group. There is no stationary element in the main feature of the painting.
When we say it's a painting that has a great sense of movement in it, the reason it does is because of the movement of our eyes when we're looking at it, and the fact that we just don't know where really we should look. We are restless. It makes us restless.他嘴唇微张，他身后的民兵队蓄势待发。
