"Back-to-back victories and consecutive clean sheets, Roy Hodgson could not have wished for a better start. It's a pragmatic approach which is providing a solid base. England are well-organised, but only until the latter stages, were they in an attacking threat on the counterattack. Two chances failed to Defoe, including one that hit a post. Belgium dominated possession, but were restricted to few opportunities, and Dembélé's mistake letting Young who fed Welbeck to score his first international goal with a delightful chip after 36 minutes. Two 1-0 victories and Hodgson is content as his attentions now turned to France a week on Monday."
