【翻译原文】
　　每个国家的形象宣传片(promotional video)都希望能让世界更好地了解本国。中国国家形象宣传片在纽约的播放引起了世界关注。这则长达60秒的宣传片以中国红为主色调，通过文化和生活方式展现中国的“软实 力”(soft power)。宣传片展示了中国各行各业的代表，包括名人(celebrity)和许多面带微笑的普通百姓。中国希望通过该宣传片提升国家形象，展现一个繁荣发展、民主进步的中国。
　　1.第1句中的主语“宣传片”并不是施动者，宜用被动句式besupposed to来表达。
　　2.第2句中，把“在纽约的播放”处理成后置定语,用过去分词短语airedin New York来表达。“引起了世界关注”可译为attracted/caused/grabbed the world'sattention/the attention of the world。
　　3.第3句中的“以中国红为主色调”可用分词短语displayed dominantly with China's traditional red color来表达，此处“增译”displayed(展现)一词。灵活翻译“主色调”一词，从中提取意思“主要的”，用副词形是dominantly表达，译文意思更确切。用through引导方式状语置于句末表达“通过……”,使句子结构更流畅。
　　4.最后一句中的方式状语“通过该宣传片”用介词短语with the video来表达，置于句首突出宣传片的重要性。第2个分句“展现一个繁荣发展、民主进步的中国”可直译为and shows a...nation，作为与前一分句并列的成分，但处理成状语用介词as(以……身份)与前一个分句进行连接，更能体现句子的逻辑性。
