怎样“变废为宝”？

        　　At the ongoing World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, reporters saw many displays demonstrating all kinds of eco-friendly ways to turn waste into treasure.
        　　在正在举行的2010上海世博会上，记者在许多展示中目睹了各种变废为宝的环保举措。
        　　在上面的报道中，turn waste into treasure就是我们常说的“变废为宝”。在best urban practice exhibition area(城市最佳实践展区)，游客们可以看见clear classification of garbage(对垃圾的清晰分类)，各种不同的trash can作用不同，有的是装food waste的，有的装glass bottles，有的装paper and cartons，还有的装plastic and metal。
        　　在经过treatment and recycling(处理和回收)后，food waste可以作为fertilizer(肥料)，产生biogas(沼气)，残渣可用来铺路，有些non-recoverable waste(不可回收垃圾)还可以用来发电。这些展示提供了许多环保灵感。
        　　世博园内还有很多环保设施，例如zero-carbon house(节能房)、footstep-absorbing floor space(踩踏能量吸收地板)、cork wall(软木墙板)、air tree(空气树)等等。
