        　　Among the people accompanying Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to Russia, China’s first lady Peng Liyuan is attracting great attention. She is certainly no stranger to high profile events abroad. As a former A-list folk singer, Peng has performed and toured in countries across the world, including Russia.
        　　Peng was in her element as she arrived in Moscow with her husband, president Xi Jinping. Well-suited in a Chinese brand, she made her international debut as first lady. During the visit, she will also join a performance by a Russian song and dance troupe, singing a traditional Russian song in both Chinese and Russian.
        　　As well as being comfortable in the limelight, Peng is also interested in benevolent causes. She became a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations World Health Organisation in 2011. Although Peng is still new to her role, enthusiastic observers are already putting her among the ranks of iconic first ladies and say she will help promote the country.
