The Chicago Bulls played host to the Houston Rockets. The Rockets had been in a superb run recently, looking for their sixth victory out of seven games. James Harden led Houston with 26 points as they outscored the Bulls 23 in transition.
But the host team had the answer. Carlos Boozer scored on the layup to keep it close.
Houston kept pushing the pace. Chandler Parsons finished with 23 on the night.
The Rockets completely took off in the second quarter, extending the lead over 20 points.
Harden kept his hands hot in the second half as the visitors eased away for good.
Five Houston starters scored in double figures, and the final quarter was a formalityas the Rockets won it 120-97.
