Images of mini iPad surface online
The tension is building over Apple’s release of the next iPhone on Wednesday, but several websites are giving consumers a sneak peek at Apple’s newest tablet – the iPad mini.
The rumored iPad Mini wasn’t expected to launch for a few weeks. Now images of what is supposed to be Apple’s new tablet have surfaced on websites in China, France and the U.S.
The mini is expected to feature a 7-inch screen, rear and front-facing cameras and a price point of $299.
The alleged leaks—we can’t confirm their authenticity—appeared right after Amazon’s Kindle Fire launch.
If they’re real, then Apple appears to be conceding that there’s a market for smaller tablets like the Kindle Fire and Samsung’s phone/tablet, or “phablet”—the Galaxy Note.
The secrecy surrounding the launch of Apple products is part of their mystique and the alleged leaks may not affect sales.
