实用英语口语：“车流量”怎么说
先提个醒儿，在“车流量”相应的英文表达里，没有如下字眼：vehicle(车辆)或volume(数量)。这是不是就是咱们所说的“切忌中式思维”?看下面《中国日报》一则报道，您可找到比较贴切的英式“车流量”：
More than half the government cars in Beijing will be banned from streets
between November 1 and 6 to ensure smooth traffic flow during the four-day
China-Africa Co-operation Forum summit.
报道说：为期四天的“中非合作论坛”峰会将在北京召开。届时，为保证车流量畅通，北京大半公车将在11月1日至6日期间暂时封存、不得上路。
在英语中，仅用“traffic flow”就可表达“车流量”的全部内涵。“Flow”在此可解释为“the amount that flows in a
given period of time”(一定时期内的流量)，相应的，“traffic flow”指“一定时间内行驶的车辆”。
另外，traffic有时也可单独指“流动的车辆或人群”，如：At this time of the day, there is too much
traffic on this road.(每天这个时候，这条路上的车辆行人会很多。)
