■mighty adj. 强大的,有力的(powerful, strong, forceful)
He was a mighty warrior.
■lodge v. 提出(to make a statement, 可以替换make,但比make正式)
make/ lodge complaint 提出抱怨
Eg: lodge a complaint with the police against one's neighbors 向当局控告邻居
v. 临时留宿,使住宿(provide sb with a place to sleep or live in for a time)
Eg: Sufferers in Jiangxi earthquake are being lodged in the tabernacles which the government provides.
此外,lodge作为名词还可表示:小屋、旅馆、集会处等
