Traditionally, they took a rooster with them to the graves.However, as the time goes by, the event has been less formal now. There are many different customs on the Tomb-sweeping Festival, among which the main ones are tomb sweeping and spring outing. It is a day not only for people to commemorate the dead, but also to enjoy leisure and entertainment time. Spring outings not simply increase enjoyinent of life, but encourage people to have a healthy body and mind.The festival is really a combination of sadness and happiness.
