名师：选译《林怀民：舞蹈是一种信仰》
译前：原文《林怀民：舞蹈是一种信仰》选自2011.04.18-04.27 第10期《看天下》杂志（P122-124）。三年后，他终于走到菩提迦耶，看到了悉达多王子成佛的菩提树，这是佛教传说中的极乐净土，然而树下的人，除了朝圣的信徒，就是乞丐——上百个乞丐，有肢体残废的，有得麻风病的，他们趴在地上，苍蝇爬在他们身上，到处都是。
Three years later, he(Lin Huaimin) finally arrived at BodhGaya, one of the holy Buddhist sites, and saw, under the Bodhi tree where the young Prince Siddhartha had attained Enlightenment,more than a hundred of beggars among the pilgrims. They lay on the ground, some handicaped,some leprosy-stricken, with flies settling on all over their bodies.
旁边就是摩诃菩提佛寺。林怀民冲进佛寺，指着佛陀大骂：两千五百年过去了，你在搞什么啊！你看着世人受苦受难，现在还是这个样子，你在搞什么啊！
Just a stone's throw away from the tree was the Mahabodhi Temple Complex. Lin rushed into the temple and yelled at the Buddha: “2,500 years have passed. What the hell have you been doing? You’ve seen the suffering of people in the world and yet you do nothing. What’s wrong with you!”
骂完之后，林怀民跪在佛前痛哭。他突然发现，佛陀也是一个凡人。
Having vented his anger, Lin knelt down in front of the Budda, wailing with grief. It suddenly occurred to him that the Budda was but an average person.
