China's top political advisor has pledged to boost China-Italycooperation in various fields and push bilateral comprehensivestrategic partnership to a new level.Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the ChinesePeople's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), has madethe remarks during his official goodwill visit to Italy which startedon Nov. 27.
During his visit, Jia met with Enrico Rossi, governor of the Tuscany region, and Rosario Crocetta, governor of the Sicily region, on Nov. 30 and Dec.1, respectively.
While meeting with Rossi, Jia said the Tuscany region, which boasts competitive edge inagriculture, light industry and tourism in global market, has maintained close and friendlyexchanges and cooperation with many provinces and cities in China.
Jia expressed the hope that the region could play a leading role in the friendly cooperation betweenChina and Italy, and broaden its areas of cooperation with Chinese provinces and cities.
Rossi said that the economic link between the Tuscany region and China is becoming ever closerand the region hopes to continue strengthening its cooperation with China in such fields asmanufacture, investment, tourism and health.
The governor said the region is also willing to provide convenience for investment from Chineseenterprises.
While meeting with Crocetta, Jia said the cooperation potential between China and the Sicily islandis huge, especially in the areas of tourism, renewable energy, agriculture, animal husbandry andshipping.
China has a huge market which will bring valuable opportunities for many small and medium-sizedenterprises in the Sicily island, he said.
The Chinese government will continue to encourage its cities and provinces to intensifycooperation in various fields with the Sicily island, Jia said, adding the cooperation between themhas a huge potential and a promising prospect.
Crocetta, for his part, spoke highly of China's achievements in its economic growth and socialdevelopment, saying that Italy regards China's development as an opportunity and hopes to learnfrom its development experience.
He added that the Sicily region is willing to promote its economic and trade ties with China, andboost bilateral cooperation and two-way investment in areas such as infrastructure, aviation andindustry.
Jia arrived in Italy on Nov. 27, the first leg of Jia's three-nation tour which will also take him toCosta Rica and Argentina.

贾庆林积极评价中意关系的良好发展，表示此次访意期间，会见了意主要领导人，与意社会各界人士广泛接触，亲身感受到意大利政府和人民对中国的深情厚谊。中方高度重视发展同意大利的关系，愿同意方携手努力，相互借鉴，优势互补，互利共赢，推动中意全面战略伙伴关系迈上新台阶。
在会见罗西时，贾庆林对托斯卡纳大区遭受洪灾造成人员伤亡和财产损失表示慰问，相信大区能战胜自然灾害，恢复正常生活生产秩序。他说，托斯卡纳大区历史文化悠久，经济发达，纺织、机械制造、化工、医药等产业独具特色，农业、轻工业和旅游业等富有国际竞争力。托斯卡纳大区与中国地方省市开展了密切的友好交流与合作。希望托斯卡纳大区在中意友好合作中发挥重要作用，与中国地方省市开拓更多的合作领域。
在会见克罗切塔时，贾庆林表示，西西里岛战略地位重要，与中方在旅游、可再生能源、农畜牧业、航运等领域开展合作潜力巨大，中国广阔的市场为西西里大区众多中小企业加快国际化步伐带来良好机遇。中国政府愿继续支持中国地方省市与西西里大区加强各领域交流，双方合作大有可为。
罗西感谢贾庆林对大区遭受洪灾的诚挚慰问，表示这体现了中国对意大利人民的真挚情谊。罗西祝贺贾庆林访意取得丰硕成果。他说，托斯卡纳大区与中国的经济联系日益紧密，大区生活着许多华侨华人，为当地经济社会发展作出贡献并带来新的机遇。大区希望继续加强与中国在制造业、投资、旅游、卫生等方面的合作，愿为中国企业前来投资提供便利。
克罗切塔表示，中国是伟大的国家，充满活力。意方关注和钦佩中国经济社会发展所取得的成就，视中国的发展为机遇，希望学习借鉴中国的发展经验。西西里大区愿充分发挥优势和潜力，在欧洲及地中海地区与中国关系中发挥带头作用，加强与中国的经贸往来以及在基础设施、航空、工业等领域的投资合作。欢迎中国企业前来投资并将尽力提供帮助和便利。
抵达西西里大区政府时，贾庆林受到了当地群众和少年儿童的热烈欢迎。他们挥舞着中意两国国旗，表达对中国的热爱及对中国朋友的欢迎。贾庆林亲切地与小朋友们握手交谈，祝小朋友健康成长，希望中意两国世代友好下去。
访问托斯卡纳大区时，贾庆林还会见了驻佛罗伦萨总领馆工作人员、留学生和华侨华人代表。
全国政协副主席兼秘书长钱运录、中国驻意大利大使丁伟等参加了上述活动。
