双语新闻：15人因在淘宝网店销售盗版软件获刑
2015年8月25日，北京市海淀区人民法院发布通告，有15名被告人因犯侵犯著作权罪被判处有期徒刑8个月到5年不等。Fifteen people in Beijing were given prison terms ranging from eight months
to five years on Tuesday for selling pirated software on Alibaba's Taobao
marketplace and via the search engine Baidu.
15名被告人涉及9起案件，除了被判处有期徒刑之外，他们还需要交付2万元-120万元不等的罚金。
The 15 people were involved in nine cases. They were also ordered to pay
fines ranging from 20,000 yuan (3,100 U.S. dollars) to 1.2 million yuan,
according to a statement by Haidian District People's Court.
据了解，在2012年3月到2014年7月期间，这15人均涉嫌销售盗版广联达软件加密锁。盗版软件以原版价格的1%进行销售，15名被告总计赚取410万元。
All defendants were found guilty of selling encryption passwords to unlock
authentic versions of Glodon construction project management software between
March 2012 and July 2014, it said. The copied software was being sold for about
1 percent of the retail price. All together, they earned 4.1 million yuan.
法院指控被告人因未取得软件开发商的允许靠销售盗版软件谋取利益，因此犯侵犯著作权罪。
The court ruled that the defendants had collected earnings without the
permission of the software developer, thus, had violated copyright.
