GUANGZHOU -- The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force is to recruit 40female student pilots nationwide in 2019, according to its recruitment
bureau.
广州——据中国人民解放军(PLA)航空局消息，中国人民解放军空军将于2019年在全国范围内招募40名女学生飞行员。
The nationwide recruitment, the 12th of its kind, will be open to high
school graduates aged between 17 and 20, said Fang Chuanhong, deputy head of the
bureau.
该局副局长方传红表示，这是第12次全国性的招生活动，面向年龄在17岁至20岁之间的高中毕业生。
In the past three years, the quality of PLA Air Force recruitment has
increased significantly, with new recruits’ overall national college entrance
examination scores reaching the threshold of China’s first-tier universities,
Fang said.
方传红说，在过去的三年里，中国人民解放军空军征兵质量显著提高，新兵的全国高考成绩达到了中国一流大学的门槛。
The Chinese Air Force has been cooperating with top universities in
training aviation talent, and 78 percent of the first list of their jointly
trained pilots are now incorporated into combat positions, said Fang.
方传红说，中国空军一直在与一流大学合作培养航空人才，他们首批联合训练的飞行员中有78%现在已经进入战斗岗位。
Furthermore, the Chinese Air Force will also enroll undergraduates under 24
years of age who pass political, physical and psychological tests.
此外，中国空军还将招收通过政审、生理和心理测试的24岁以下大学生。
